Women’s History Month is nearly over, but the celebration continues! Join us for a special Women’s History-Themed Game Night at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum on Friday, April 4 at 7 p.m. This engaging evening will feature historic tavern games, a presentation, and a crowd-favorite Jeopardy! game highlighting the remarkable women of Alexandria.
A $10 cover charge includes access to the games and themed presentation, with a cash bar offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The mini-talk and Jeopardy! game will begin around 7:30 p.m., promising an evening of fun, history, and a little friendly competition.
Please note that the event takes place up one flight of stairs in the historic Assembly Room of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.

As America began as a nation during the late 18th century and emerged in the 19th century, Gadsby’s Tavern was the center of social and political life in Alexandria as well as the new Federal City of Washington. The tavern served as the premier gathering place for residents – including George Washington – and visitors to eat, drink, learn, and influence history. Tavern keepers John Wise and John Gadsby hosted balls, performances, and meetings, and their accommodations were known as the best by travelers near and far.
